Summer Camp is Cool!

"Camping is cool", of course jumping off the blob on a hot summer day will cool just about anyone off. Scouts from all over North Texas enjoy a fun filled summers at Clements Scout Ranch, Camp James Ray and Camp Constantin/Jack D. Furst Aquatic Base.

Every June and July, Circle Ten Council camps provide thousands of young men the opportunity to enjoy exciting activities including boating, swimming, conservation, outdoor skills, archery, rifle shooting, shotgun shooting, horseback riding, COPE, climbing up tall towers, and many different merit badges.

Cub Scouts get their "day in the sun" at local day camps during the month of June. Thousands of Cub Scouts enjoy archery, BB guns, crafts and swimming.

           2012 CAMPING SEASON
June 3-9 - Staff Week (All Camps)

Please note the date changes for 2012. Due to our commitment to deliver the best summer camping experience possible, and due to the fact that Texas schools do not release until the end of May, we have made an adjustment to our 2012 camping season. Week 1 will now be June 10-16. The first week of June will be staff training in order for us to prepare our staff to deliver a better program for you and your youth.

Adult Leader Fees
BSA policy requires that at least two adult leaders accompany each troop to summer camp. One leader must be at least 21 years of age. Other leaders must be at least 18 years of age. Circle Ten Council encourages adult leader participation by offering the opportunity for 2 adult leaders to attend free of charge.

The Merit Badge pre-registration system at our Circle Ten camps works off of a scout based priority, meaning that the Scout (or leader) puts in the merit badges that each boy wants to take in order of priority.  Once all of the participants for your unit have been entered, our system will automatically assign the class times to the Scouts priority list.  Keep in mind a Scout may not get every badge on his list due to the fact that certain merit badges may be offered only one time during the day.  If the Scout has chosen two badges that are both only offered at the same time then he will be assigned to the class that has the higher priority on his list.  Also, some classes are two or three hours long, which may preclude him from participating in other classes.
