Calling All Students and Educators in Texas!

Earthwatch Fellowships in 2008

Leave the four walls of your classroom behind! Embark on a unique journey sure to transform your life and impact your community.

Thanks to the generosity of Dallas residents Jane K. and John P. Wilson, Earthwatch is pleased to offer students and teachers in Dallas, Texas the opportunity to participate in scientific field research during 2008. Earthwatch expeditions are one-to three-week field research projects within the U.S. and abroad. As a fellow you will work side by side with a Scientist helping to conduct his field research. You do not need any special skills or training to join an expedition; just a sense of adventure and willingness to lend a hand! All students at least 16 year old by the summer and teachers in Dallas, Texas are eligible. A Fellowship Award will cover all costs associated with the research, food and accommodations. Fellows will be awarded a modest travel reimbursement for travel to and from the research site. For the most up-to-date information and to apply, visit us on the web at: http://www.earthwatch.org/fellowships/texas.html

We are also counting on Dallas Educators to nominate one or more students for this opportunity. Please send the first and last name, full mailing address, phone number, age, and email address of your nominee(s) to fellowshipawards@earthwatch.org. Please remember, students must attend school in Dallas, Texas and at least 16 years old by this summer to be eligible.
